Guadalajara, August 2026 — From November 13 to 16, Guadalajara will once again host the Jorge Campos Tournament, celebrating its second edition with an initiative that aims to go beyond sports competition by bringing together players, coaches, and families around soccer and the development of new generations.
The tournament will uphold the four core pillars that defined its inaugural edition: soccer, fair play, healthy living, and education. In addition to the matches, the schedule features talks and workshops designed for players, parents, and coaches, with participation from institutions and organizations tied to sports and educational development.
The competition will feature two women's categories and four men's categories, played in 9-a-side and 7-a-side soccer formats depending on the division.
The first edition delivered memorable off-the-field moments with appearances by icons such as Christian Martinoli and Luis García, who spent time with young fans and entertained attendees with lively match commentary. Luis Roberto Alves "Zague" and David Medrano were also present during the opening ceremony, while Oribe Peralta surprised attendees with a visit during the tournament. Reinaldo Navia accompanied the event alongside his academy. Adding to these guest appearances was a surprise talk by Jorge Campos himself, who shared some of his experiences and insights on soccer with the young athletes.
With this second edition, the Jorge Campos Tournament aims to continue bridging the gap between new generations and major sports icons, creating experiences that go beyond game results and strengthen the participants' connection to soccer.
